Adult Career and Continuing Education Services-Vocational Rehabilitation (ACCES-VR) starts with the presumption that all individuals with disabilities can benefit from vocational rehabilitation services and should have opportunities to work in jobs integrated within their communities. Vocational Rehabilitation Counselors guide individuals through service programs they need to reach their employment goal.
We are contractual partners with ACCES-VR via the New York State Education Department and the Bureau of Rehabilitation Services (BRS). We receive referrals of eligible candidates or participants to our program for purposes of assisting people with disabilities regardless of the nature of the disability.
We offer a comprehensive schedule of services in an attempt to design a pathway to employment based on a person’s skills, values, and accommodation(s) requirements.
Each person is a unique individual and, as such, we develop a custom Individual Plan for Employment (IPE) in coordination with the ACCES-VR Counselor.
