The Westchester County Department of Community Mental Health (DCMH) administers a Single Point of Access for residential services. Interested applicants must submit applications directly to DCMH for its consideration and subsequent review by a committee of residential providers. This committee meets on a biweekly basis in the offices of DCMH in order to review the status of applications and to make preliminary determinations concerning placement in accordance with applicants’ stated needs and preferences. Applications may be found here or filed online through the Westchester County DCMH website.
The Putnam County Department of Community Mental Health established the Single Point of Access (SPOA) to remove barriers to successful community living for adults with serious mental illness. The goal of the SPOA is to ensure service access to high-need individuals while increasing integration and community tenure. Applications for services can be obtained through the Putnam County DCMH website or downloaded here.
