Through the Supportive Housing Program, Search for Change provides individuals with the personal choice to select where they would like to live. We also assist in securing a home for them and procuring initial furnishings. After establishing their apartments, participants receive continuing support and assistance until they can comfortably maintain themselves in their new environments.
The Supportive Housing Program staff maintains contact with participants through individual meetings, monthly support groups, weekend social activities, and monthly and annual vacations. Rental assistance is available through the program, and the staff provides assistance with daily living tasks along with any necessary advocacy services to coordinate treatment, rehabilitation, benefits, and general community integration.
