NY State Needs to Better Serve Those with Mental Illness

In a story posted on lohud.com, Search for Change CEO, Ashley Brody, discusses how for the past 25 years, mental health providers who care for these vulnerable populations have not seen the commitment from Gov. Cuomo during his State of the State address to provide care for New Yorkers living with mental illness fulfilled.

Brody reiterates that Mental health housing providers have received only minimal funding increases, enough to barely keep them afloat and that the survival of facilities providing supported housing are in danger of closing. The full article can be read here:
